About Kach Medina Umandap

Meet Kach Medina Umandap, the youngest Filipina to visit all 193 UN Member States. She is also the first woman from the Global South to earn the distinction of a “UN Master,” achieved solely through the limitations of a Philippine passport.

Born in Makati City and raised in San Pablo City, Laguna, Kach is one of the OG travel bloggers in the Philippines having launched her first blog, Two Monkeys Travel, in 2013.

A Filipina digital nomad and global mobility advocate, she independently funded her 12-year mission to travel to every country in the world by co-founding TwoMonkeysTravelGroup.com, FilipinoPassport.com, and TravelWithKach.com.

Her journey began as a solo backpacker on Southeast Asia’s Banana Pancake Trail, financed by savings from her years as an OFW in Kuwait and Kurdistan, Iraq (2009–2013).

What started with a backpack evolved into a global mission to redefine freedom of movement for the Global South.

Today, Kach is a recognized voice in remote work, location independence, and travel freedom. A Philippine Air Force Reservist, she leads the Student Nomad Club, empowering young Filipinos to become globally competitive digital professionals.

In February 2025, after completing #Mission195, she launched #Mission1642 Philippines—a nationwide journey across all 1,642 cities and municipalities of the Philippines to promote domestic tourism and establish Student Nomad Club chapters in every province.

She also distributes a Tagalog version of How To Become a Digital Nomad to students, promoting digital skills, AI literacy, and financial education.

Kach hosts the podcast Diplomatically Yours, interviewing diplomats and global leaders. Based between Dubai, Palawan, and Montenegro, she continues mentoring the next generation of remote Filipino professionals.

Her mission is clear: to empower young Filipinos with digital skills and strong values so they can work and travel freely—strengthening the global mobility of the Philippine passport.
