About Kach Medina Umandap

Meet Kach Umandap, the youngest Filipina to visit all 193- UN Member States. She’s also the First Woman from the Global South to become a “UN Master” based on her Philippine citizenship.

Born in Makati City and raised in San Pablo City, Laguna, Kach is one of the OG Travel Bloggers in the Philippines.

This Filipina digital nomad and global mobility advocate, funded her 12-year mission to travel to every country in the world by co-founding different e-commerce websites including TwoMonkeysTravelGroup.com, FilipinoPassport.com, and TravelWithKach.com.

Her story began as a solo backpacker in South East Asia’s Banana Pancake trail, initially funded her adventures from the Php 500,000 bank savings she had after working as an OFW in Kuwait and Kurdistan, Iraq from May 2009 to April 2013.

What started with a backpack has grown into a global mission to redefine freedom of movement for the Global south citizens.

Today, she is a recognized voice for remote work, location independence, and travel freedom. A proud Philippine Air Force Reservist, Kach also leads communities such as the Student Nomad Club and the TWK - Travel Buddy Club, empowering the next generation Filipinos to explore the world and thrive as digital professionals.

In February 2025, after completing #Mission195, she launched #Mission1642 Philippines, her next nationwide journey across all 1,642 cities and towns of the Philippines to promote domestic tourism to her international audience and to establish Student Nomad Club chapters in every province.

Alongside this, she’s distributing a Tagalog version of “How To Become a Digital Nomad” booklets to students, promoting digital skills, AI literacy, and financial education.

Kach also hosts the podcast Diplomatically Yours, where she interviews diplomats, global leaders and change-makers. Splitting her time between Dubai, Palawan, and Montenegro, she continues to mentor the next generation of Remote Filipino workers.

Her mission is simple: With digital skills and strong Filipino values, younger generations can work and go anywhere, anytime you want.
